Again, an excercise with a limited palet of 6 colors.
Green, green, green. So many greens with only 2 blues and 2 yellows and a tiny bit of red.

Primula aquarel

I used a limited number of colors to paint these leaves.
A great excercise in how many greens you can create by using only Ultramarine, Phatalo blue, Camboge, Winsor Red to tone the greens down en a tiny bit of Lemon for the flowers.
I used Arches HP paper and Rosemary and Co, UK brushes, most spotters.

new portrait of Monique, a commission

I just finished this portrait of Monique.
She is the husband of Martin, the portrait I made in Januar this year.
The portrait of her husband was a gift for her birtday and she wanted to have a drawing of herself too because she wanted to hang the two drawings together on the wall.
So this is a commission.

Because of the fact that I did not drew the portraits together at the same time it was very difficult to draw them the same.
I took measurements of her head because her head is smaller than the head of her husband.

And this is the result after many hours of drawing.
Of course like always it is very difficult to take good photos of a drawing.
